Ankara: Turkey announced an increase in water releases to Iraq, starting from tomorrow.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the head of the Iraqi Turkmen Front, Muhammad Semaan Agha, met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in the Turkish capital, Ankara, to discuss several issues, including the water crisis and scarcity in southern Iraq.
Agha stated that he delivered a letter from Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani to Minister Fidan. In response, Minister Fidan pledged to increase water releases to Iraq starting tomorrow, addressing the pressing water needs in the region.
