Diwaniyah: Diwaniyah Police Commander, Major General Najah Al-Bayati, announced the arrest of two brothers accused of drug trafficking and abuse in Diwaniyah.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Bayati stated that a force from the Directorate of Anti-Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances, under the command of the Director of Narcotics, along with several officers and personnel, conducted a qualitative operation based on accurate intelligence information. This operation led to the arrest of one of the brothers, who was wanted in several cases by the Anti-Crime and Anti-Terrorism Department, and had previously clashed with security forces on one occasion. His brother was caught using narcotics during the operation.

Al-Bayati further noted that both individuals were transferred to a security center for investigation and legal action.
