Baghdad: Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, received a copy of the credentials of the new European Union Ambassador to Iraq, Clemens Smetner.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the minister met with the ambassador today at his office to discuss bilateral relations and ways to enhance political, economic, and cultural cooperation, as well as to address several issues of mutual interest.

Hussein expressed his welcome to the new ambassador and wished him success in his mission, affirming the ministry’s readiness to provide support and necessary facilitation to strengthen the partnership between Iraq and the European Union.
