Baghdad: The Ministry of Migration and Displacement has announced the organization of an international conference addressing the issue of displaced persons from Al-Hol camp. This event is scheduled to take place on September 26th, coinciding with the United Nations General Assembly and will feature significant participation from both Iraqi and international officials. President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid is set to lead the Iraqi delegation.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Minister of Migration, Evan Faiq Jabro, stated that the goal of the conference is to gather international support and encourage countries to take responsibility by withdrawing their nationals from the camp. This move is intended to pave the way for the camp’s closure, ending prolonged human suffering and contributing to regional security and stability.

Minister Jabro also mentioned her role as chair of the Integration Committee, which includes legal experts and specialists. The committee aims to create a comprehensive plan for rehabilitation and integration, which will enhance community security and maintain national stability.
