Gaza city: At least 17 Palestinians have been killed and dozens injured since midnight as a result of ongoing Israeli airstrikes on various areas in the Gaza Strip.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, local sources reported that Israeli quadcopter drones dropped dozens of explosive devices on the roofs of citizens’ homes in the Al-Sahaba area of Al-Daraj neighborhood in central Gaza City, causing extensive damage to property.
Israeli aircraft also bombed Al-Falah School in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, which was sheltering displaced people. This resulted in the death of one person and the injury of several civil defense personnel while attempting to rescue the wounded.
Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes targeted an apartment on Al-Thawra Street in the Al-Rimal neighborhood in western Gaza. Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital announced the arrival of the body of Hosni Abu Huwaishel, who was killed after his home in Al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip was bombed.
The airstrikes also targeted the homes of the Abu Kamil family in Al-Daraj neighborhood, the Abu Huwaishel family in Al-Bureij refugee camp, and the Al-Daalseh family near Al-Qassam Mosque in Al-Nuseirat, resulting in 13 deaths and a large number of injuries.
Israeli aircraft continued their intensive bombardment of various areas of the Gaza Strip from the night hours until this morning, amid warnings of a rising death toll given the difficulty of rescue crews reaching the targeted sites.
