Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani confirmed that Iraq is prepared to host the Arab World Innovation Congress. His media office revealed that the Prime Minister welcomed the Head of the Arab World Innovation Congress, businessman Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, along with his delegation, to discuss the potential of hosting the event.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Prime Minister al-Sudani emphasized Iraq's commitment to supporting initiatives that unite and enhance Arab knowledge, highlighting the country's willingness to host events that foster innovation and entrepreneurship. He also mentioned the development and expansion of gifted schools across all governorates as part of Iraq's educational advancements.

The Prime Minister further elaborated on the government's efforts to establish the National Center for Digital Transformation and the National Center for Cybersecurity. These institutions aim to develop policies, programs, and review similar experiences globally, with the goal of finalizing necessary legislation following the digital transformation plan.

In response, Abu-Ghazaleh expressed support for the Prime Minister's proposal to establish the Arab World Innovation Congress headquarters in Baghdad. He highlighted that economic and wealth criteria have shifted from being based solely on hydrocarbon resources to a knowledge economy, necessitating the integration of programming concepts and mechanisms into educational curricula.
