Sharm el-sheikh: The Egyptian Presidency announced on Sunday the names of 20 countries that have confirmed their attendance at the Sharm El-Sheikh International Summit on Peace in the Gaza Strip, scheduled for tomorrow in Sharm El-Sheikh, co-chaired by Cairo and Washington.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Egyptian Presidency confirmed that high-level delegations from the United States, Jordan, Turkey, Indonesia, the UAE, Pakistan, India, Bahrain, Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, Cyprus, Greece, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Azerbaijan, Spain, Armenia, and Hungary will participate, along with representatives from the United Nations, the Arab League, and the Council of Europe.

The Presidency explained that the levels of representation at the summit will be diverse, including kings, heads of state, vice presidents, prime ministers, and foreign ministers, reflecting the deep international interest in the situation in Gaza and the desire to formulate a unified position that will push for calm and the resumption of peace efforts.

The summit's main sessions are expected to address ways to achieve a ceasefire, provide urgent humanitarian aid, and resume the path to a just and comprehensive political solution that guarantees the rights of the Palestinian people and stability in the region.

The coastal city of Sharm el-Sheikh, on the Red Sea in eastern Egypt, is preparing to host the Gaza Peace Summit tomorrow. Egypt has called for the summit as part of its ongoing efforts to de-escalate and contain the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, with broad participation from world leaders and senior international officials.

The summit will be co-chaired by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and his US counterpart, Donald Trump, and comes after Hamas and Israel reached an agreement to end the two-year war in Gaza, which has caused an unprecedented humanitarian disaster in the Strip.
