Gaza: The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced today that the death toll from the ongoing conflict with Israel, characterized as genocidal by the ministry, has risen to 68,216, with 170,361 individuals reported wounded since the hostilities began in October 2023.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Gaza Health Ministry released a daily statistical statement indicating that in the last 24 hours, hospitals in the region admitted 57 individuals who had lost their lives, including 45 victims of direct targeting by Israeli forces and 12 recovered bodies. Additionally, 158 people were reported injured in the same period.

The Government Media Office reported that Israel violated the ceasefire agreement 21 times on Sunday alone, resulting in 44 Palestinian deaths. The ceasefire, which officially commenced on the 10th of this month, is part of a wider plan proposed by US President Donald Trump. The agreement aims to halt hostilities, secure the release of Israeli prisoners in Gaza, disarm Hamas, and facilitate the entry of aid into the region.

Since the ceasefire's inception, Israeli forces have reportedly committed 80 violations, leading to 97 Palestinian deaths and injuring 230 others. The Ministry of Health detailed that from the 11th of this month, 80 Palestinians have been killed, and 303 have sustained injuries as a result of these infractions.

The ministry further highlighted the challenging situation wherein several victims remain trapped beneath the rubble of destroyed homes and in areas inaccessible to rescue teams. The destruction of infrastructure in Gaza, attributed to the conflict that began on October 8, 2023, has been severe, with estimated damages reaching approximately $70 billion.
