Baghdad: The General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers expressed its appreciation to Iraqi Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari in recognition of the Ministry’s efforts to support Arab security cooperation and ensure the success of events held under the Council’s umbrella.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Lt. Gen. Falah Shaghati, Director of the Arab Office for Supporting Security Agencies, delivered a letter of thanks from Dr. Mohammed bin Ali Koman, Secretary General of the Council, to the Minister. In the letter, Dr. Koman praised the distinguished participation of the Iraqi delegation in the Arab Meeting of Departments of Civil Status, Passports, and Nationality, hosted by Baghdad in September 2025, highlighting the Ministry’s excellent preparation and organization that reflected Iraq’s positive image.

The Council also expressed its appreciation for the progress achieved by the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, extending its thanks to Lt. Gen. Mohammed Sakkar, Lt. Gen. Nashat Al-Khafaji, and Brig. Gen. Muqdad Miri for their valuable cooperation and effective follow-up, which contributed to the success of the meeting and the strengthening of Arab joint security cooperation.
