PM Al-Zaidi Affirms Iraq’s Openness to Strengthen Ties with the United States


Baghdad: PM Ali Al-Zaidi affirmed Iraq’s openness to all initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States. Al-Zaidi received on Wednesday a delegation from the U.S.-based Atlantic Council, headed by Victoria Taylor, Director of the Iraq Initiative at the Council’s Middle East Programs, according to a statement from the PM Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency – INA.



According to Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized ‘the importance of advancing these relations in a manner that serves the shared interests of the two friendly countries.’ He highlighted ‘the promising future of Iraqi-U.S. partnerships across various fields, particularly in development, energy, and the economy.’



He further noted ‘Iraq’s promising investment environment, supported by government measures to facilitate investment opportunities for major U.S. companies,’ underscoring the potential for collaboration between the two nations.
