Al-Mandlawi and Sheikh Al-Khazali Call for Unified Vision to Tackle National Issues


Baghdad: The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, and the Secretary-General of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq Movement, Sheikh Qais Al-Khazali, have emphasized the need for a unified vision and responsible positions in addressing major national issues and entitlements in Iraq.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the media office of the First Deputy Speaker detailed a meeting held on Tuesday between Al-Mandalawi and Sheikh Al-Khazali. The discussions focused on the latest political, security, and service developments, as well as important national files impacting citizens and the stability of the state.



The statement highlighted the importance both leaders placed on coordinating efforts between institutions and political forces. Such coordination is seen as essential to tackling service and living challenges, which in turn can help build a strong and just state that responds effectively to the aspirations of its people. The leaders also stressed the need to protect the democratic process from tensions and polarization that could threaten national unity, calling for the prioritization of public interest and the cultivation of a national spirit to rebuild citizens’ confidence in the democratic experience.



The statement also pointed out that Iraq is approaching a significant popular entitlement with the upcoming parliamentary elections. This period necessitates a greater level of understanding and coordination across all levels to ensure a stable environment for fair and transparent elections. Such efforts are intended to open new opportunities for development and stability and reinforce the peaceful transfer of power in accordance with the people’s will.
