Earlier, on October 9, the SDF successfully thwarted a truce violation attempt by some members of the National Army in the eastern Aleppo countryside. The incident marked a period of heightened security concerns when members of the National Army attempted to infiltrate an SDF military post near Tishrin Dam.

Reports indicate that the site was targeted with hand grenades, which led to armed clashes between the two sides. The confrontation ended with the withdrawal of the attacking elements, and one individual was confirmed killed during the clashes.
