The Dollar Price Fall in Baghdad and Erbil at the Closing Hours

Baghdad: The US dollar exchange rate experienced a decline on Wednesday evening in the Baghdad and Erbil markets as the stock exchange concluded its trading for the day. The drop in the exchange rate was observed in both key cities, reflecting a slight shift in the financial dynamics of the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the dollar exchange rate fell on the Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya stock exchanges to 141,400 Iraqi dinars per $100, compared to the morning rate of 141,550 dinars. This change in the exchange rate indicates a minor adjustment in the currency market, impacting transactions and economic activities.

In the local markets of Baghdad, the selling price of the dollar in exchange shops maintained stability, with figures showing a selling price of 142,500 Iraqi dinars per $100. Meanwhile, the buying price settled at 140,500 dinars, demonstrating a consistent pattern despite fluctuations on the stock exchange.

In Erbil, the trend mirrored that of Baghdad, where the dollar’s selling price reached 141,200 Iraqi dinars per $100 and the buying price was recorded at 141,000 Iraqi dinars per $100. This consistency in the exchange rate between the two cities highlights a synchronized response to the market conditions.
