Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani emphasized the necessity for the state and its institutions to enhance their efforts in serving and caring for the families of martyrs, acknowledging the sacrifices and heroism that all Iraqis hold in high regard.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, during his visit to the home of the family of Brigadier General Mohammed Nashmi al-Aliawi in Maysan Governorate, al-Sudani expressed that the martyrs symbolize the ultimate sacrifice for the homeland’s dignity. He highlighted the critical role that these sacrifices have played in ensuring Iraq’s security, stability, and development.
Al-Sudani, referencing a statement from his media office, paid tribute to the fallen Brigadier General and all martyrs who have laid down their lives for Iraq. He reiterated that the progress Iraq enjoys today, including reconstruction and development, is largely due to the blood of these martyrs.
The Prime Minister’s visit was to the family of Brigadier General Mohammed Nashmi al-Aliawi, the commander of the 40th Brigade of the 10th Division, who was killed in action against ISIS terrorists in Anbar Governorate’s Hasiba sector in 2015.
