Gaza: Al-Qassam Brigades announced the recovery of the bodies of two prisoners, Amiram Cooper and Sahar Baruch, during search operations conducted on Tuesday.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Brigades stated that they located the body of one of the prisoners in a tunnel located south of the Gaza Strip. However, the handover of the body, which was initially scheduled for Tuesday, has been postponed due to what the Brigades describe as “violations by the occupation.”
The Brigades warned that any escalation by Zionist forces could impede ongoing search and excavation efforts, potentially delaying the recovery of the bodies of their deceased.
In related developments, the Hamas movement earlier on Tuesday evening distanced itself from a shooting incident targeting an Israeli soldier in Rafah, reaffirming its adherence to the ceasefire agreement.
Meanwhile, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu indicated that military leadership had been instructed to initiate strong strikes on Gaza following security consultations. The Israeli response involved shelling near Al-Shifa Hospital with several missiles, targeting the back area of the hospital.
These events unfold amid increasing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement, initially brokered through the plan of US President Donald Trump.
