Baghdad: The Supreme Judicial Council has reiterated its call to candidates in the upcoming parliamentary elections to refrain from insulting rival candidates through the media or social media platforms.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Council emphasized the importance of keeping electoral competition within the bounds of the law. It urged candidates to focus on presenting their electoral programs for the next phase in a manner that encourages citizens to actively participate in exercising their constitutional right to choose the best candidate. The Council warned that legal measures would be taken against those who violate these guidelines.
