International Federation Congratulates Iraq on Muay Thai Achievements at Asian Games


Baghdad: The International Federation of Muay Thai Associations (IFMA) congratulated the Iraqi Olympic Committee and the Iraqi Muay Thai Federation on Monday for their achievements at the Asian Youth Games. The Iraqi Olympic Committee stated in a press release that its Head, Aqeel Muftan, received an official congratulatory message from IFMA in recognition of the outstanding achievements of the Iraqi national team at the Asian Youth Games recently held in Bahrain.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, officials from the International Federation, in their message, expressed their sincere congratulations to the Iraqi Olympic Committee and the Iraqi Federation on the great success achieved in the championship. They considered this achievement a reflection of the hard work and clear vision of the Iraqi Muay Thai Federation and the efforts of its leadership in developing the sport within Iraq.

The message emphasized that the future of Muay Thai in Iraq is very promising. The International Federation looks for
ward to continuing close cooperation with the Iraqi National Olympic Committee and the Iraqi Federation in order to create new opportunities for young people and athletes and promote the spread of Muay Thai in the region.

The Committee indicated that the message was signed by the Head of the International Federation of Muay Thai Associations, Sakchai Tapsuwan, the Head of the Asian Federation, Abdullah Al-Neyadi, the Secretary General of the International Federation, Stefan Fuchs, and the Director General, Charisa Tainan.
