Samarra: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani affirmed that Samarra holds a rich heritage and civilization and deserves our attention. During the launch of the implementation phases for three major projects in the city, al-Sudani said: “We have directed the preparation of a comprehensive plan for the city of Samarra.”
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister highlighted that infrastructure projects are the foundation for launching service projects, noting that it is only natural for historically significant Samarra to have its own infrastructure. He explained that the projects require cooperation from service departments and citizens.
He emphasized the need to address the conflicts hindering the projects. Al-Sudani further mentioned that “Baiji and Sinniyah water projects are among the most important projects in Salah al-Din Governorate,” and noted, “We laid the foundation stone for a project in an Iraqi city every day, and that infrastructure projects are the foundation upon which other services are built.”
The Prime Minister continued, “We need a team with the authority to address the obstacles facing projects in Samarra.”
