Baghdad: Ammar al-Hakim, head of the State Forces Alliance, has declared that the upcoming 2025 Iraqi parliamentary elections will serve as a cornerstone for enduring stability in the nation. In a statement to journalists, including a correspondent from the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA), al-Hakim emphasized the significance of these elections, comparing them to the pivotal 2005 elections that marked the establishment of democracy in Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Hakim conveyed a message to the Iraqi populace, urging them to engage actively and knowledgeably in the electoral process. He highlighted the brevity of the voting procedure, noting that while it takes only minutes to cast a vote, the repercussions will resonate for four years.

Addressing the political forces, al-Hakim noted the conclusion of the electoral competition with the closing of the ballot boxes. He called upon these forces to resume dialogue and understanding to expedite government formation and demonstrate their worthiness of the trust and responsibility bestowed upon them by the people.

Al-Hakim also directed a message to the Independent High Electoral Commission, underscoring the importance of safeguarding the integrity of the votes. He extended his message to Iraq’s internal partners, emphasizing the need for unity in rebuilding the nation and overcoming the aftermath of past conflicts to restore harmony.

In his address to regional and international partners, al-Hakim stated that Iraq, through these elections, is renewing its internal framework and enhancing cooperation on a broader scale. He expressed a vision of Iraq as a bridge fostering connections between various regional and international entities.
