Nineveh Governor Reports Arrests Near Polling Centers Amid High Voter Turnout


Nineveh: Nineveh Governor Abdul Qadir al-Dakhil confirmed the arrest of several violators near polling stations in various parts of the province, as part of efforts to secure the electoral process and maintain order.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Dakhil stated that local authorities are closely monitoring all polling stations to ensure no violations occur that could affect the voting process.



Regarding voter turnout, al-Dakhil noted a high turnout in the districts and sub-districts of the province, with a gradual increase in the number of voters within Mosul city, reflecting citizens’ keenness to participate in this democratic process.



He also indicated that security forces are continuing to intensify their security measures to ensure the smooth conduct of the elections and provide a safe environment for voters.
