Baghdad: The Secretary-General of Badr Organization, Hadi Al-Amiri, affirmed on Tuesday that Iraq’s democratic experience and political competition will help form a unified government in the near future. Al-Amiri stated that the country has succeeded in holding free and fair elections, expressing confidence in the Electoral Commission’s ability to ensure the integrity of these elections compared to previous ones.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Amiri emphasized the importance of public participation, expressing hopes for an inclusive government. He anticipated wide participation in the electoral process, stressing that past and current political competition and experiences would aid in swiftly forming a government.

Al-Amiri highlighted the strong relationships among the Coordination Framework blocs, noting that the current elections are the least contentious among political forces. He called for active participation in the elections and underscored that dialogue with all parties is crucial for stability. He expressed the hope that the next government’s program would effectively address existing challenges.

Regarding Prime Minister Al-Sudani’s potential second term, Al-Amiri clarified that Al-Sudani had not requested it and emphasized that this decision depends on the election results. On the subject of foreign influence in government formation, he unequivocally stated that external interference would not be allowed.

Addressing remarks by the U.S. President’s envoy to Iraq, Mark Savaya, Al-Amiri reassured that the Iraqi people would respond to any foreign threats or interference, reinforcing their determination to choose representatives independently. He firmly rejected foreign interventions, asserting that the Iraqi people are the decision-makers and dismissing any external financial and economic threats.
