Ankara: The Turkish Ministry of Defense has reported the death of 20 soldiers following a cargo plane crash on the Azerbaijani-Georgian border. The incident occurred as the C-130 military cargo plane was returning from Azerbaijan to Turkey.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Turkish Ministry of Defense confirmed that the aircraft, which belonged to the Turkish military, was carrying 20 individuals, including its crew. Georgian search and rescue teams located the wreckage of the plane after the crash was reported.

The Ministry of Defense stated that the investigation into the cause of the crash will commence with a detailed examination of the wreckage by a Turkish team. The findings from this investigation are expected to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
