Baghdad: The Head of the Independent High Electoral Commission, Judge Omar Ahmed, affirmed that the commission is obligated to announce the results within the timeframe stipulated by law. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the legal deadlines set for announcing electoral outcomes.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Judge Ahmed further explained that if the head of a list is disqualified, it does not invalidate the results for other candidates on the list. Instead, the first candidate is treated as an independent candidate, and only their votes are nullified, ensuring that the electoral process remains fair for the remaining candidates.
