Baghdad: The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen al-Mandalawi, has called for the rapid announcement of the election results, emphasizing the need for complete integrity and accuracy while ensuring the protection of voters’ ballots.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from al-Mandalawi’s media office highlighted his gratitude and appreciation towards the Independent High Electoral Commission for its significant efforts in managing the electoral process with transparency. Al-Mandalawi commended the dedication of the commission’s staff in fulfilling their national duties with professionalism and responsibility.

Al-Mandalawi urged the Independent High Electoral Commission to expedite the completion of the vote counting process. He stressed the importance of announcing the results for the lists and candidates with integrity, accuracy, and impartiality. This approach, he noted, would ensure the protection of voters’ ballots and their free will, as expressed through the ballot boxes, and would further strengthen the democratic path that the Iraqi people have chosen as a means to build a prosperous future.
