Kirkuk: The winning candidate from the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Shakhwan Abdullah, has announced the suspension of all celebrations and activities in Kirkuk following the party’s loss of a seat in the recent elections.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Abdullah conveyed his message via social media, expressing gratitude to the people of Kirkuk and the party members. He acknowledged the support from those who align with the Barzani ideology, thanking them for their trust in the party’s list in Kirkuk. Despite the gratitude, Abdullah stated that all celebratory events would be halted due to the electoral setback experienced by the Kurds and the KDP in the city.
