Joint Security Forces Uncover Extensive Explosives Cache in Anbar


Anbar: A joint security force from the 57th Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces in Anbar, in coordination with a unit of the Iraqi Army, successfully discovered a significant cache of explosives during a security operation in the region.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Popular Mobilization Forces announced in a press release that the operation led to the finding of a water tank that had been converted to hide explosive materials. The contents of the tank were extensive, including five remote detonators, two additional detonators, a server, two communication trucks, a quartz cable, two explosive charges, 33 rocket-propelled grenade warheads, 46 detonators, three C5 rockets, nine rocket-propelled grenades, five improvised explosive devices (IEDs), seven TNT, FFT ammunition, and ammunition for launching explosives.



Specialized engineering teams handled and detonated the explosive materials on site. The process was completed without any incident, ensuring safety in the area.
