Baghdad: National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji met with a delegation from the Turkish Migration Foundation, led by Recep Sayar, at his office on Wednesday. The discussions revolved around enhancing joint cooperation in research and scientific fields, as well as addressing the situation of the Iraqi community residing in Turkey.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting also focused on strategies to tackle the issue of al-Hol camp, emphasizing the urgency for countries to repatriate their citizens and close the camp due to the security threats it poses to regional stability. Al-Araji highlighted Iraq’s strong and evolving relationship with Turkey across various sectors and expressed the Iraqi government’s commitment to further strengthening these ties, particularly concerning water resource management and collaborative efforts to ensure mutual interests are met.
