Security Council to Discuss Iraq Situation in Upcoming Session


New york: The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) announced today that the Security Council will convene a session on the situation in Iraq tomorrow, Tuesday.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the UN Security Council session is scheduled to take place at 10:00 AM New York time (6:00 PM Baghdad time). The Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Iraq, Mohammed Al-Hassan, is expected to provide a briefing on the latest developments in Iraq and the activities of UNAMI.



The session aims to address ongoing concerns and assess the current circumstances in Iraq. Mohammed Al-Hassan’s briefing is anticipated to offer insights into the role and efforts of UNAMI in the region.
