Diyala: Diyala Governor Adnan al-Shammari met with a delegation from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation and support development efforts in the province. During the meeting, the Governor emphasized the importance of building effective partnerships with international organizations to accelerate development in Diyala. He also expressed the local administration’s desire and full readiness for close and continuous cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation, ensuring the achievement of shared goals and fostering ongoing and fruitful collaboration between the two sides across various sectors, particularly those related to environmental sustainability.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Axel Klaphaake, the regional director of the German Agency, expressed the organization’s and the German government’s readiness to provide full support for environmental and climate change projects in Diyala province.
