Doha: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein met today, Sunday, with Stuart Jones, President of the Middle East Institute in Washington, on the sidelines of their participation in the 23rd Doha Forum in Qatar.
According to National Iraqi News Agency ,the two sides discussed the latest regional and international developments and the role Iraq plays in enhancing security and stability within a complex regional environment. They also exchanged views on issues of common interest, emphasizing the importance of adopting peaceful solutions and resolving conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy.
Fuad Hussein pointed to the state of security stability that Iraq is witnessing despite the challenges in the region, and what this represents as an important foundation for enhancing development and international cooperation. The two sides also discussed the importance of exchanging expertise between the Middle East Institute and Iraqi institutions concerned with strategic and international research and studies, in order to contribute to developing research capabilities and opening new horizons for academic and intellectual cooperation.
