Baghdad: The Secretary-General of the Badr Organization, Hadi al-Amiri, met with former Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi to discuss developments on the local scene.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the two sides discussed the ongoing talks to form the new government and fulfill constitutional requirements during their meeting on Sunday.

The statement added: “Al-Amiri and Abdul-Mahdi emphasized the importance of unifying efforts and integrating roles among political forces, which will contribute to strengthening the stability of the political process and achieving the aspirations of citizens at all levels.”
