Baghdad: The Secretary-General of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, recently hosted a meeting with the Secretary-General of Kata’ib Sayyid al-Shuhada, Haj Abu Ala’ al-Walai, and his delegation at his office. The discussion centered around the political climate and the need to expedite the formation of a new government.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from Sheikh Al-Khazali’s office revealed that Al-Walai extended his congratulations to Al-Khazali on the success of the electoral process, noting the smooth procedures and the strong performance of the ‘Sadiqun’ movement in the recent parliamentary elections. Sheikh Khazali, in turn, congratulated the ‘Muntasirun’ bloc on its victory and the favorable results it achieved.

The meeting focused on the latest political developments, with both leaders underscoring the necessity of forming the next government swiftly. They emphasized the importance of addressing the challenges facing the nation and ensuring that competent individuals are selected to manage national affairs.
