Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani directed the relevant authorities to provide relief to citizens affected in the Kurdistan Region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement by the Prime Minister’s office indicated that al-Sudani instructed the National Center for Crisis and Disaster Management at the Ministry of Interior, along with relevant authorities, to provide assistance and support. Additionally, the Ministry of Finance was tasked with allocating emergency funds to ensure all necessary relief is provided to the people of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, following severe weather conditions that resulted in heavy flooding.
