Baghdad: Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, leader of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, received the head of the Taqaddum Party, Mohammed al-Halbousi, and his delegation on Thursday. This meeting was part of a series of consultative discussions aimed at developing a unified approach for the forthcoming political phase.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sudani congratulated al-Halbousi on the successful electoral outcome and the performance of his party, which demonstrated the trust of a significant portion of the electorate. In response, al-Halbousi extended his congratulations to al-Sudani for his balanced political conduct during the previous period.

The meeting involved detailed discussions on the upcoming phase’s requirements, focusing on the necessity of aligning positions among major political forces. This alignment is essential to form a government that can fulfill citizens’ aspirations, especially those who participated in the election, advocating for reform and state-building.
