Gaza: The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas voted strong rejection and condemnation of an Amnesty International report accusing Palestinian resistance facts of committing crimes during Al-Aqsa Flood operation on October 7, 2023.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a statement, Hamas described the report’s motives as ‘biased and suspicious,’ asserting that it contains ‘clear inaccuracies and contradictions’ compared with documented findings by human rights groups, including Israeli organizations.

The movement noted that the report claims hundreds of homes and facilities were destroyed, although field evidence shows that Israeli forces were responsible for the destruction using tanks and aircraft. It added that some civilians mentioned in the report were actually killed by Israeli fire under the so-called ‘Hannibal Protocol.’

Hamas also criticized the report for echoing Israeli government allegations-including claims of rape, sexual violence, and mistreatment of detainees-calling it ‘incitement and deliberate distortion’ of the resistance’s image by adopting the Israeli narrative. These allegations, the statement said, have been refuted by international investigations and reports.

The movement urged Amnesty International to withdraw what it described as an ‘unprofessional’ report.
