Baghdad: The second edition of the Iraqi Digital Space Forum commenced in Baghdad, sponsored by the National Security Advisory and supported by national and international partners.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the opening ceremony was attended by National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji, Minister of Labor Ahmed al-Asadi, advisors to the Prime Minister, the Governor of the Central Bank, representatives of the Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, the International Chamber of Commerce in Iraq, and officials from the Communications and Media Commission.

In his opening remarks, Al-Araji congratulated the Iraqi people on the eighth anniversary of the victory over ISIS, emphasizing that Iraq has overcome a challenging chapter and now enjoys the stability needed to advance digital transformation. He noted that several ministries have already made progress in this field, and that the government is committed to expanding digital services to improve efficiency and better serve citizens.

The forum included panel discussions focused on digital governance, identity and trust-building, the role of digital payment systems in supporting the national economy, and the integration of data within Iraq’s digital infrastructure.
