Baghdad: The Iraqi National Coalition has officially denied reports circulating on social media about the death of its leader, Iyad Allawi. The coalition confirmed that Allawi is in good health.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the media office of the National Coalition released a statement addressing the false news about Dr. Iyad Allawi’s death. The statement highlighted that some websites and social media pages have been spreading these unfounded reports.

The media office emphasized, “While we categorically deny these reports, we affirm that Dr. Allawi is in good health, praise be to God. The rumors being circulated are baseless and aim to undermine national figures.”

The National Coalition urged media outlets and social media users to “exercise accuracy, adhere to professional responsibility, rely on official sources when reporting news, and not be swayed by rumors intended to mislead and sow confusion.”
