Baghdad: The Baghdad/Rusafa Police Command announced today the arrest of two suspects for attempting to rob a factory in the Nahrawan area, east of Baghdad.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the arrest operation was carried out based on directives from the Baghdad Rusafa Police Chief during a field operation. This followed information received from a citizen regarding suspicious movements and an attempted robbery at a factory within the area of responsibility.

The statement from the police indicated that Al-Nahrawan patrol units immediately went to the scene of the incident, cordoned off the area, and pursued the two suspects, who were riding a motorcycle. They were apprehended after a chase. The search resulted in the seizure of crystal methamphetamine, ampoules, and drug paraphernalia in the possession of the suspects, as well as cash, including counterfeit money, in addition to the motorcycle.

The suspects, along with all the seized materials, were handed over to the Criminal Investigation Bureau to complete the necessary legal procedures against them.
