Baghdad: The MP Mahmoud al-Qaisi confirmed on Saturday that Azm Alliance has nominated Muthanna al-Samarrai for Speaker of Parliament, stressing the need for unified political decision-making and balanced leadership that protects national unity and ensures stability.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Qaisi stated in a post that the leadership of the legislative institution is at a critical juncture. He emphasized that the gavel would be in the hands of the Azm leader, a decision rooted in objective criteria and a responsible vision. Al-Qaisi highlighted the importance of this leadership in guiding the legislative body with steadfastness and wisdom, reflecting the current need for balanced decision-making.
