Baghdad: Former Speaker of Parliament Mahmoud al-Mashhadani congratulated the Speaker of Parliament for the sixth parliamentary session, wishing them success in fulfilling their national duties.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Mashhadani affirmed that “this achievement represents an important step in consolidating the democratic process,” expressing his hope for the swift completion of constitutional requirements, particularly the election of the President and Prime Minister and the vote on the new government, in order to meet the aspirations of the Iraqi people and strengthen political and institutional stability in the country.

He also commended the patriotic stance of Muthanna al-Samarrai, head of the Azm Alliance, praising his prioritization of the supreme national interest and his positive role in supporting political consensus and the success of the democratic process.
