Tehran: Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Aref emphasized that citizens who participated in recent protests clearly distinguished themselves from those causing chaos. He stated on Monday that a report will soon be released by relevant authorities to identify individuals who attempted to exploit legitimate public demonstrations for creating unrest.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Aref discussed the government’s livelihood and food security program, which is the result of months of coordinated work. The initiative involves delivering subsidies for essential goods directly to citizens, with monthly payments scheduled for the next four months.

Aref also highlighted the government’s diplomatic efforts with neighboring countries to secure Iran’s water rights. Iranian authorities are negotiating to ensure the allocation of water shares from border rivers and are exploring opportunities to transfer water beyond Iran’s borders.

On the matter of public participation, the first vice president noted that water belongs to the people, and he stressed the importance of involving citizens and the private sector in major water projects to ensure their success.
