Baghdad: The spokesperson for the PUK parliamentary bloc, Dilan Ghafour, reiterated today that Nizar Amidi is the party’s only official candidate for the presidency. This announcement comes amid discussions and the circulation of other names within the party as potential candidates for the position.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, despite the emergence of other prominent figures such as Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, Bakhtiar Amin, and Jwan Fuad Masoum being mentioned in conversations, the party remains firm in its decision to back Amidi exclusively. The statement aims to clarify the party’s official stance and dispel any confusion regarding their choice of candidate.
