Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan affirmed that Ankara rejects any violation of international law, and stressed that it is working to achieve what is best for both Turkey and Venezuela.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Erdogan delivered a speech following a meeting of the Turkish government at the Presidential Complex in Ankara. He stated, “We do not condone any violation of international law, and we strive for what is best for Turkey and the friendly people of Venezuela,” highlighting the unfortunate events currently unfolding in Venezuela, a nation with which Turkey shares close ties.

Erdogan revealed that he spoke with US President Donald Trump, emphasizing the importance of preventing Venezuela from descending into instability. He reiterated Turkey’s commitment to supporting the Venezuelan people in their pursuit of prosperity, stability, and development.

The Turkish President cautioned against the violation of sovereign rights and breaches of international law, warning that such actions could have severe global consequences.
