Baghdad: Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi appreciated the efforts of Nouri al-Maliki, head of the State of Law Coalition, in supporting national dialogues to fulfill constitutional requirements.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from al-Maliki’s media office indicated that the head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, received Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi at his office on Sunday. At the beginning of the meeting, al-Maliki congratulated al-Halbousi on his election as Speaker and on gaining the confidence of the members of Parliament, expressing his wishes for his success in carrying out his legislative duties.

For its part, Parliament praised al-Maliki’s efforts in supporting national dialogues to fulfill constitutional requirements, especially after the coordination framework made significant progress in finalizing the prime ministerial candidate.
