Baghdad: Speaker of Parliament, Haibat al-Halbousi, held a meeting with Baghdad Governor, Atwan al-Atwani, attended by several members of Parliament and the Provincial Council from the Progress Party.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from al-Halbousi’s office revealed that Governor al-Atwani congratulated al-Halbousi on his election to the sixth session and for gaining the confidence of the members of Parliament. The governor expressed his wishes for al-Halbousi’s success in his legislative duties.

The meeting focused on the significance of local governments and their responsibility in delivering services and addressing the needs of citizens. Both al-Halbousi and al-Atwani discussed various service-related issues affecting the Baghdad Governorate.
