Baghdad: MP Hanan al-Fatlawi, a member of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, has confirmed that the coalition’s leader, Mohammed al-Sudani, has no plans to take on any political position. Al-Fatlawi made this statement on the social media platform X, addressing circulating rumors about Al-Sudani’s political ambitions.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Fatlawi dismissed the reports suggesting that Mohammed Shia al-Sudani was poised to assume a new role. She urged the public to remain calm and composed in light of the misinformation. Al-Fatlawi highlighted Al-Sudani’s decision to nominate Nouri Al-Maliki for the position of Prime Minister, describing it as a courageous and selfless act that the coalition supported fully.
