Hilla: Intelligence and Security Directorate units in Babil Governorate apprehended a man practicing witchcraft and sorcery in the city of Hillah, the governorate’s capital. A security source stated, “The suspect was caught in the act after taking gold jewelry and large sums of money from women.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the source added, “Police transferred the suspect to the relevant authorities for investigation, and the seized items were confiscated.” The source indicated that “initial information suggests he defrauded at least thirty women in Hillah through witchcraft and sorcery.”
