President and Progress Party Leader Advocate for Enhanced Political Stability and National Collaboration


Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid and the head of the Progress Party, Mohammed al-Halbousi, stressed the need to strengthen political stability and support joint national action efforts. A presidential statement indicated that the President of the Republic received, on Thursday, the head of the Progress Party, Mohammed al-Halbousi, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning Mohammed Tamim, Minister of Industry and Minerals Khalid Battal, and Progress Party member Abdul Karim Abtan. During the meeting, they discussed the overall situation in the country, emphasizing the need to strengthen political stability and support joint national efforts to serve the interests of the Iraqi people.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the President stressed the importance of expediting the completion of constitutional requirements within their designated timeframes, emphasizing that adherence to these deadlines is a fundamental pillar for consolidating the democratic system and enhancing citizens’ trust in constitutional institutions.



For his part, al-Halbousi expressed his gratitude to the President, affirming his commitment to supporting efforts aimed at strengthening political stability and moving forward with fulfilling national obligations in a way that meets the aspirations of the Iraqi people.
