Paris: France has called on the European Union to adopt a “unified” response to the new tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump on all of the United States’ trading partners. “Adopting a unified approach by the European Union will be essential,” stated French Minister of Foreign Trade Nicolas Fourisier in a press statement, advocating for the EU to consider retaliatory measures.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, US President Donald Trump announced an increase in the new overall tariffs from 10 to 15% “effective immediately,” following a ruling by the US Supreme Court that struck down a significant portion of the tariffs he had reinstated since returning to office.
