Baghdad: Speaker of Parliament, Hebat al-Halbousi, received the new Governor of Salah al-Din, Haitham al-Zahwan, on Sunday. A statement by the Speaker’s office indicated that al-Halbousi congratulated al-Zahwan on assuming the governorship, wishing him success in his duties serving the people of Salah al-Din. He emphasized the importance of developing the work of the local government in all areas during the coming period, which will positively impact the lives of the province’s residents.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting discussed several issues concerning the province, the most prominent problems it faces, and ways to improve its administrative and service sectors.
